Alfonso Herrera Is Off to the Olympics

• Mexican singer and actor Alfonso Herrera will travel to London to serve as a correspondent for the 2012 Olympic Games.

  "I'm going to London to gather footage for Terra.com. It'll be very interesting to talk about the things that are going on over there, the ambiance and the environment around the Olympics," he told pulsolp.com.

  The ex-RBD member blogged about his preparation for the event, posting a picture of the gear he is taking with him: a laptop, video camera, audio recorder and plenty of batteries.

  Alfonso added that he is also interested in learning more about European culture.

  "It's going to be really nice to experience so many different nationalities united in one place," he said.

  Recently, Alfonso was invited to join forces with Yoko Ono as global ambassador for her Non-Violence Foundation Project to promote peace and non-violence.

  "Something really needs to be done about this and I think this organization is doing a lot of ingenious and interesting things, that will have a big impact on teens. I'm honored that Yoko Ono has taken me into consideration for the project," he said.
